It is necessary to take into consideration that not all cities have the same prices!
We will explain everything later on!

- Porto: accommodation can be found between 40€ and 250€.

TRANSPORT

In big cities like Lisbon and Porto, there are several types of transport that allow you to move around the city: metro, train, buses and boats. However, not all cities in Portugal have an efficient public transport network that allows you to move around freely.
When we refer to the cities near the coast it is effectively easier to move around, however, when we mention the interior of Portugal, the displacement is more complicated and time consuming.
If you live in Lisbon and Porto, there's no need to worry, you don't need a car to go where you want. If you intend to live outside these cities, we recommend you to have a car, it can be rented temporarily in which you can move around freely.
The pass, which is the card that allows you to use all public transport, costs 40€ in Lisbon and Porto, 43€ in Faro and 35€ in Coimbra.
the card has to be recharged every month!
With regard to diesel and petrol, there are always changes, however the average is around 1.50 p/litre to 1.70 p/litre.
For more detailed information about travelling between cities, you have CP Comboios de Portugal, Rede Expresso and Flixbus, which offer good quality services at appropriate prices, and a discount for people under 25!
FOOD
Supermarket costs in Portugal have been on the rise with inflation since the start of the Ukraine War. And despite the National Statistics Institute (INE) pointing to an 8.3% drop in the year-on-year inflation rate in January, food prices, especially fresh food, have not retreated.
Generally speaking, supermarket prices vary little from one city to another, with the average couple spending between €300 and €400 per month at the supermarket.
When the subject is eating out, perhaps it is one of the items that presents price variation in the country. This is because, if we consider the values of restaurants in the biggest and most touristy cities, they are higher than in the rest of the country.
There are several factors that influence the prices, being the restaurant, historical/touristy areas, by the sea, but to give an average, let's say that if you go out one month per month you will spend for two people approximately 60 euros (restaurant in the tourist area at dinner time), if it is at lunchtime/lunchtime, you can get lunch at a value of 20 euros.

ENTERTAINMENT
In Portugal there is a lot of culture, there are often concerts, country parties, festivals, shows. there are also cinemas and museums. Museums in Portugal are almost all paid, but they are quite low values, which often do not even reach more than 5 euros, summer festivals have high values, which are around 70-150 € but last for many many and there is a variety of music and extraordinary artists. Music shows are often free, but if you want to see an artist, tickets can range from 40-90 euros. Portugal offers you a lot of entertainment for free, through parties in the cities/towns, which allow you to have fun without paying, if you want to pay for something different, the average values per month can be around 30/50 euros.
